“Prepare my Bride to receive the Glory of the Lord.”
by: Sr. Mary Grace of
the Blessed Sacrament
These words were spoken to Intercessors of
the Lamb Foundress, Mother Nadine Brown, while on retreat
discerning the call out of the cloister of the “Contemplatives
of the Good Shepherd” sisters in June 1975. Thirty years later
a thriving growing community of Hermits (Brothers and Sisters),
Servants (Priests), and Companions (Laity), worldwide are
fulfilling this call to become a Eucharistic people that
experiences God’s glory with every Holy Communion and
contemplative intercessory prayer wherein they receive and give
others an abundance of God’s agape love.
The following quote from a contemplative
mystical prayer experience of Mother Nadine, is an excerpt from
the Holy Rule:
I saw the Bride of the Lamb as She existed
on earth today. It seemed that the entire world was in deep
sadness and without hope, wounded and alone. Jesus said, “This
is my Bride; bone of My Bone, flesh of My Flesh. This is My
Body; this is My Blood. They have all been invited to the
wedding feast of the Lamb but they have no Wine. Anoint My Body
with the oil of gladness and the perfume of Love. Prepare My
Bride to receive the glory of the Lord.” After that I saw Jesus
Christ crucified, hanging on the cross with blood and water
pouring out of His pierced Heart. The blood and water formed
seven different streams, each being poured into seven chalices
on a huge altar depicting the seven Sacraments of the Church.
And then the words, “Do this in memory of Me that they may have
Life and have It in abundance.” It was during this retreat that
I received a “call” from the Lord… to bring the spirituality of
this charism to the Church at large so that His House might be a
“house of prayer for all peoples.”
This spirituality is the Lamb, “Jesus”
that all His people will hunger and thirst for the salvation of
all souls, as He did upon Calvary. This mystical union is more
readily experienced when one’s heart is filled to overflowing
with God’s unconditional love through contemplative prayer.
We are all called as the Lamb’s Bride-the
Church, to be a Eucharistic people and to intercede for the
graces that flow from the union of our hearts with the pierced
Heart of Jesus, so that all souls will come to know and
experience the compassionate merciful love of God. He promises
to be with us all until the end of time, truly present in the
Blessed Sacrament. May each of you experience Jesus’ Calvary
Eucharistic Love in your hearts today and always and pray
unceasingly for the salvation of all souls.
