Our motto as Vietnamese Dominican Sisters is “Contemplari et contemplata aliis tradere” or “Contemplate and share with others the fruit of contemplation.” We commit ourselves to prayer, adoration of the Eucharist and communal life while working in such diverse ministries as teaching in schools, working in hospitals, and serving the poor.
In the United States, we have seven residences dispersed in southern Texas with the Provincial house in Houston. Our other convent which is also located in Houston operates a Daycare and Pre-school. In addition, we have our formation house in Missouri City, Texas, other mission houses in various cities such as Crosby, Port Arthur, Palacios and Port Lavaca.
For entrance, young women must be at least 18 year old, have completed high school, have good health, and good intention.
