The Sisters of
St. Joseph the Worker were founded in the Diocese of Covington,
Kentucky, by Most Reverend Richard H. Ackerman and Mother Ellen
Curran, in 1973; canonically approved in 1974.
Gathered in
heart and soul within the Heart of Christ, living and working
together in Community, they seek to serve the Lord with gladness
and be a visible expression of the love of Christ and the
mystery of the Church. They live at once a contemplative and
apostolic life. Through the celebration of the Eucharist, they
renew their covenant with the Lord.
The
apostolates of the Sisters include teaching, health care,
domestic and clerical work.
Applicants
should be between the ages of 18 and 35, possess good physical
and mental health and have a high school diploma or its
equivalent. |
