The Society is
composed of priests, brothers, and sisters. Drawn equally by
contemplative and apostolic ideals, the Society of Our Mother of
Peace aims to combine and balance the basic elements of the
contemplative life with the essential features of the apostolic
life, without diminishing the intensity of either. Living in
material simplicity and poverty, members dwell in separate
hermitages, or a convent house. Several hours of solitary prayer
and the Liturgy in common foster union with God and zeal for the
two-fold apostolate of the evangelization of the unchurched,
especially in the inner city, and helping persons deepen their
spiritual life through spiritual direction and solitary
retreats.
Ages 22-55
are welcome to apply and are invited to a discernment retreat
with the community. |
