Photos and Reflections on Formation

Anyone called by God experiences a certain degree of inner peace, inner joy and fulfillment. The call of God includes an attraction to the spirit and the apostolate of a particular Religious Congregation in the Church, a Congregation whose charism is compatible with the unique personality of the person called.

The experience begins already in the Postulancy, which is the preparation for the Novitiate, and will accompany us through our entire religious life.

The Intercessors of the Lamb is a mixed Community of priests, hermits and lay persons who have been called to continue the redemptive mission of the Lamb of God in the Church through the powerful ministry of intercession. Our formation program consists of teachings on the four pillars of contemplative spirituality: silence, prayer, solitude and penance. Each pillar builds on a Trinitarian foundation with the first level founded in the Father, the second level in the Son, and the third level founded in the Spirit. The Novitiate studies their identity as Intercessors of the Lamb, the history of our call, and the spirit and mission of our Charism (Holy Rule). Formed in the Heart of Mary, Who pondered all things, we use Scripture as a springboard for dialogue with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

“Pauline formation is a vital process by means of which we grow in discipleship and become always more conformed to the Divine Master, following the example of St. Paul. It is a development of the whole personality, starting from that foundation which is the upright and honest person, and moving progressively towards the heights of Christ lives in me, according to the project of life delineated in our Constitutions.

“The formative process involves the person and the Congregation in a gradual and progressive journey of fidelity whose purpose is to help us embrace, develop and witness to our specific vocation in the Church and world: to live Christ and to announce him with all the means of social communication so as to respond to humanity’s longings for salvation.” —General Guidelines for Formation and Studies,
