Photos and Reflections on Care for the Elderly

The precious time of advanced age and declining energies enables the sisters to witness with calm abandonment to God’s goodness. Their lives, enriched by experience and prayer, support and encourage the mission of all the sisters. The elderly sisters are our “wisdom figures”, the “powerhouse of prayer” for our Province.

Our Elderly Sisters

With their prayers and sufferings, our elderly Sisters support us in our apostolates as wells as giving us encouragement in our spiritual striving.

In them we see the words of St. Paul repeated, "My children, I must go through the pain of giving birth to you all over again, until Christ is formed in you" (Gal. 4:19). We consider them as sharing in the redemptive mission of our Lord and as fulfilling an indispensable apostolate in our Community and within the Church.
